Alli Picks APC Nomination Form, Vows Victory in Oyo Governorship Race

The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Sarafadeen Alli, has obtained his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in Oyo State.

Alli picked the forms at the Abuja Continental Hotel, accompanied by his colleague representing Oyo Central, Yunus Akintunde.

Speaking with journalists, the former Secretary to the Oyo State Government expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress would defeat the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2027 governorship election.

He said the party’s stakeholders had reached a consensus on his candidacy and were committed to reclaiming power in the state after years in opposition.

“We have been out of government for the last six years and our party has agreed that by May 29, 2027, we are going to be at the Government House by the grace of God,” Alli said.

The aspirant also pledged to run an inclusive administration if elected, promising to prioritise good governance and improved service delivery.

He assured residents that his government would uphold local government autonomy, drawing from his experience as a former local government chairman.

Alli added that his administration would ensure that councils operate independently without undue interference, describing it as key to grassroots development.
