The All Progressives Congress has scheduled its presidential primary election for May 15 to 16, 2026, and fixed the cost of its presidential nomination form at ₦100m as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The party disclosed this in a timetable released on Monday and signed by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu. According to the schedule, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will begin on April 25 and end on May 2, 2026, at the party’s National Secretariat, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4.

Governorship aspirants are required to pay ₦50m, while forms for Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats are pegged at ₦20m, ₦10m and ₦6m respectively.

The timetable further indicates that screening of aspirants will take place from May 6 to May 8, with results to be released on May 11. Appeals arising from the screening will be handled between May 12 and May 13.

According to the party, the timetable complies with its constitution, the Electoral Act and guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
