DSS Arraigns El-Rufai on Five-Count Charge Over Alleged Phone Interception

The Department of State Services on Thursday arraigned former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, over allegations of unlawfully accessing a telephone conversation involving the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

El-Rufai, a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, was brought before a Federal High Court in Abuja on an amended five-count charge.

At the commencement of proceedings, the prosecution informed the court that the charges had been increased from three to five counts.

Details of the case are expected to unfold as proceedings continue.
