JAMB Adjusts Arrival Time for 2026 UTME First Session

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced a slight adjustment to the arrival time for candidates sitting the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, particularly those in the first session.

In a notice issued on Monday via its official X handle, the board said candidates are now expected to arrive at their examination centers by 7:00 a.m., instead of the previously scheduled 6:30 a.m.

JAMB stated that the examination for the first session will commence at 8:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m.

The board clarified that candidates are not required to reprint their examination slips following the adjustment.

It added that the full timetable includes four daily sessions from Monday to Friday, with revised timings aimed at improving coordination at Computer-Based Test centers nationwide.

JAMB said the adjustment followed concerns raised by candidates and parents over early morning travel, including safety risks and logistical challenges for those coming from distant locations.

The 2026 UTME is scheduled to hold from April 16 to April 25, 2026.
