JAMB to Release Second Batch of 2026 UTME Results Before Midnight

 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that the second batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will be released before midnight on Saturday.

This was disclosed by the board’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, who said candidates who sat for the examination on Friday, April 17, would be able to access their results later in the day.

Benjamin stated that an official notice would be issued once the results are released, adding that updates would also be shared via his official social media platform.

The development follows the earlier release of results for candidates who wrote the examination on Thursday, with 632,788 candidates already accessing their scores.

The 2026 UTME, which commenced nationwide on Thursday, is expected to accommodate more than two million candidates across accredited computer based test centres in Nigeria.

The Federal Government has approved a comprehensive restructuring of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, marking the first major reform of the scheme since its establishment 53 years ago. The approval was granted at the federal executive council meeting held in Abuja on Monday as part of efforts to reposition the NYSC into a skills-focused and productivity-driven institution aligned with the Federal Government’s economic and youth development agenda. The Federal Government has announced that the traditional khaki uniform of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, will be replaced with Adire fabric as part of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the scheme and promoting local production. The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, disclosed this on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, saying the initiative is designed to strengthen indigenous industries and ensure government spending supports Nigeria’s economy.
