Jandor Picks APC Governorship Nomination Form for 2027 Lagos Race

Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.

Adediran, Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos through his spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye.

The move comes amid growing endorsements within the party for Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat as a preferred candidate by key stakeholders.

Adediran said his decision to obtain the forms reflects his commitment to the party’s internal democratic processes and established guidelines.

“This step reflects my disciplined adherence to the party’s established processes and my unwavering belief in the internal democratic mechanisms of the APC,” he said.

He reiterated support for the adoption of direct primaries, expressing confidence that the process would strengthen participation and unity within the party.

The aspirant also reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the party at both national and state levels.

Adediran acknowledged the support of party leaders and stakeholders while recognising the rights of others to back different aspirants, describing such diversity as a feature of a democratic system.

He also appreciated members of the JAGABAN–JANDOR 2027 Movement and other supporters for contributing to the purchase of the nomination forms.

Adediran assured party members and Lagos residents that his ambition is anchored on unity, inclusiveness and good governance under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

The Federal Government has approved a comprehensive restructuring of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, marking the first major reform of the scheme since its establishment 53 years ago. The approval was granted at the federal executive council meeting held in Abuja on Monday as part of efforts to reposition the NYSC into a skills-focused and productivity-driven institution aligned with the Federal Government’s economic and youth development agenda. NYSC Reform: FG Replaces Khaki Uniform With Adire Fabric

The Federal Government has announced that the traditional khaki uniform of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, will be replaced with Adire fabric as part of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the scheme and promoting local production. The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, disclosed this on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, saying the initiative is designed to strengthen indigenous industries and ensure government spending supports Nigeria’s economy.
