Kwara Gov Visits Injured Soldiers, Announces Support for Fallen Heroes


Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Tuesday visited six soldiers injured during a counterterrorism operation in Kaiama, commending their sacrifice and service to the nation.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, the operation led to the elimination of several terrorists, while three soldiers lost their lives.

During the visit, AbdulRazaq announced financial support of N20 million for each of the fallen soldiers and N5 million for each of the injured personnel.

He described the sacrifices of security forces as priceless and expressed appreciation for their commitment to national security.

The governor also commended the quality of care and facilities at the Intensive Care Unit of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, where the injured soldiers are receiving treatment.

He thanked the military and other security agencies for their continued efforts in safeguarding the country.
