NAF Airstrikes Kill Terrorists in Sambisa Forest

The Nigerian Air Force says the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI has carried out precision airstrikes in the Yuwe axis of the Sambisa Forest, killing several terrorists.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said the operation was based on credible intelligence, supported by Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, which confirmed the presence of террорист elements within fortified structures and bunkers.

According to him, NAF air assets engaged the targets with precision munitions, destroying the structures, neutralising multiple террористs and eliminating key logistics facilities.

Ejodame noted that the sustained air operations have continued to weaken terrorist networks in the North-East, forcing them into disarray and reactive actions.

He quoted the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, as reaffirming the force’s commitment to sustained, intelligence-driven operations until all террорист elements are neutralised.

Aneke assured that the NAF would intensify precision strikes while adhering to rules of engagement and minimising civilian harm.

He added that the force remains committed to protecting personnel, securing the nation and ensuring the safety of citizens.
