NAF Bombs Terrorist Hideouts in Mandara Mountains
The Nigerian Air Force has conducted a coordinated air strike on terrorist positions in Guduf, located in the Mandara Mountains along the Nigeria Cameroon border, as part of ongoing counter-terrorism operations under Operation HADIN KAI.
The operation, carried out on April 27, 2026, followed credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance reports, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters.
Ejodame said air assets identified and targeted multiple terrorist structures and logistics hubs supporting insurgent activities within the area, noting that the mission was executed with precision and in line with established rules of engagement.
He stated that the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI deployed precision targeting to neutralise hostile elements and their infrastructure while ensuring the protection of civilians and the surrounding environment.
The Air Force said the strike destroyed key terrorist facilities in the enclave, described as a known hideout within the Mandara Mountains, thereby weakening the operational capacity of the insurgents.
It added that the operation underscores ongoing efforts to deny terrorist groups freedom of action and reinforce broader security operations aimed at safeguarding national security.
