Opposition Disunity Strengthens APC’s Grip in Nigeria, Says City Boy Movement Coordinator

The Coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Lagos Island East LCDA, Hon. Yunus Abiodun Nurudeen, popularly known as Hon. Saha has said that persistent disunity among opposition parties continues to reinforce the electoral strength of the All Progressives Congress across Nigeria.

Nurudeen, an aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly, made this known during a political engagement in Lagos Island East, where he spoke on the broader dynamics shaping Nigeria’s political landscape.

He said opposition parties have remained weakened by internal divisions, poor coordination, and competing interests, a situation that has consistently limited their effectiveness during elections nationwide.

According to him, the contrast has been evident in the ruling party’s ability to maintain cohesion, strengthen grassroots structures, and sustain a clear political direction.

“In politics, structure and unity are critical. Where there is division, it weakens capacity, while a coordinated and disciplined platform will always have the advantage,” he said.

He added that the party’s continued success is driven by long-term planning, effective mobilization, and sustained engagement with the electorate across Nigeria.

The City Boy Movement Coordinator noted that internal stability and strategic alignment have remained central to the party’s achievements at both state and national levels.

Political observers say such dynamics have continued to shape electoral outcomes in Nigeria, where opposition fragmentation often translates into an advantage for the ruling party.

Nurudeen reaffirmed his commitment to deepening grassroots engagement in Lagos Island East LCDA and contributing to effective lawmaking if elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly.
