Oyo Lawmaker Denies Involvement in Alleged Plot to Impeach Makinde

The Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Gbenga Oyekola, has denied involvement in any plan to impeach Governor Seyi Makinde.

Oyekola, who represents Atiba Constituency, made the clarification on Tuesday via his verified Facebook page, stating that he was neither invited nor consulted on any such arrangement.

The lawmaker, elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, alleged that certain individuals were attempting to create division within the state assembly and strain relations between lawmakers and the executive.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the governor, declaring that he would not be part of any activity capable of disrupting the peace and stability of the state.

Oyekola also pledged continued support for the Makinde administration, emphasizing his commitment to the unity and progress of Oyo State.
