The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has fixed Monday, May 11, 2026, for its annual Policy Meeting on Admissions, where decisions on minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination cut off marks for the 2026 2027 academic session will be taken.
JAMB disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
The meeting is scheduled to hold at the Body of Benchers Auditorium, Plot 688, Institute and Research District, FCC Phase III, Jabi, Abuja.
According to the board, the Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, will unveil key policy directions at the meeting.
Benjamin said the policy meeting remains a critical annual gathering where stakeholders determine admission guidelines and minimum acceptable UTME scores for tertiary institutions.
He added that the meeting would set the tone for the 2026 2027 admission exercise and emphasise strict adherence to established guidelines.
Participants expected at the meeting include vice chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars and admission officers, alongside regulatory bodies such as the National Universities Commission, National Commission for Colleges of Education and the National Board for Technical Education.
The statement also noted that goodwill messages would be delivered by agencies including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the National Youth Service Corps.
Benjamin further disclosed that the event would feature the sixth edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance Merit Awards aimed at promoting compliance with admission guidelines and improving standards in tertiary education.
