Kwankwaso Calls on Supporters to Join NDC
Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has called on his supporters nationwide to join the Nigerian Democratic Congress following his resignation from the African Democratic Congress.
Kwankwaso made the appeal in a post on his official X handle on Monday, citing the protracted leadership crisis in the ADC as the reason for his defection.
He said the move is part of efforts to build a credible political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The former governor, who is seeking a joint presidential ticket with former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, stated that the new platform would offer Nigerians an opportunity to realise their potential.
Kwankwaso urged his supporters and other Nigerians to align with the NDC in what he described as a renewed push for good governance and true democracy.
He expressed confidence that the party would serve as a viable alternative in the country’s political landscape.
