Makinde Appoints New Security Adviser, Mineral Board Chairman

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Abayomi Fagbenro as Special Adviser on Security.
The governor also appointed Arowosaye Adeyemi as Chairman of the Board of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
The appointments were announced in separate letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi, on Monday.
Fagbenro previously worked at the Department of Defence, Army Network Enterprise Centre in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, United States, between October 2007 and August 2012.
He received military training in Great Lakes, Illinois, Chicago, and attended East Coast Polytechnic Institute and Strayer University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems.
Adeyemi studied Political Science at the University of Abuja.
He also served as both Caretaker Committee Chairman and Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government Area.
Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to see their appointments as a call to public service.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect.
