PDP BoT, Interim NWC Meet Makinde Behind Closed Doors

The factional Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party led by Adolphus Wabara, alongside members of the interim National Working Committee headed by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, on Monday held a closed-door meeting with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan.

Sources familiar with the development said the meeting was believed to be connected to recent reports linking Makinde to a possible presidential ambition on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement.

The sources also disclosed that discussions at the meeting may include security concerns following recent bandit attacks reported in Ibadan days after the governor’s alleged political declaration.

“The meeting may not be unconnected with recent reports linking Governor Makinde to a presidential ambition on the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement, while discussions are also believed to touch on the recent bandit attacks in Ibadan,” a source told 360Naijareports

As of the time of filing this report, details of the deliberations remained unclear as the meeting continued behind closed doors.
