Security Challenges: If Almighty Trump Can’t Do It Alone, Neither Can I — Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has said that no country or leader can address security challenges in isolation, stressing the need for pragmatic international collaboration to tackle global and regional threats.

Tinubu made the remarks on Thursday while speaking at the African CEO Forum in Rwanda, where he responded to questions on Nigeria’s security partnerships with countries including the United States and France.

The President said security challenges are persistent and require joint efforts among nations, adding that no state can operate effectively in isolation in today’s interconnected world.

He noted that even world leaders engage across geopolitical divides, citing United States President Donald Trump in reference to international diplomatic engagements involving China and Taiwan.

Tinubu argued that Nigeria must continue to strengthen cooperation with neighbouring countries and global partners to enhance the protection of lives and property.

According to him, such partnerships are essential for making progress in addressing insecurity and improving national stability.

The President reiterated that collaborative security frameworks remain critical to confronting modern threats and ensuring sustainable development across the continent.
