Tinubu Arrives Kenya for Africa-France Summit


President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, ahead of the high-level Africa-France Summit co-hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Tinubu reportedly arrived in the Kenyan capital at about 12:15 a.m. on Monday.

The summit is expected to focus on climate action, digital transformation, energy transition, infrastructure development, youth empowerment and economic cooperation between African countries and France.

During the meeting, the Nigerian president is also expected to hold bilateral talks with African and French leaders, engage investors and business executives, and promote Nigeria’s reform agenda in areas including energy, infrastructure, technology and trade.

After the summit in Kenya, Tinubu is scheduled to travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum slated for May 14 to May 15.
