Kwara APC Presents INEC Nomination Form to Gov Candidate

The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has officially presented the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, nomination form to its governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, confirming him as the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 governorship election.

The presentation took place on Tuesday at the party’s state secretariat in Ilorin and was conducted by the Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, in the presence of party leaders, executives, stakeholders and supporters.

The event marked a key stage in the party’s preparations for the forthcoming governorship election while reinforcing calls for unity and reconciliation within the APC.

Speaking after receiving the nomination form, Danladi expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, the national leadership of the party, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, party executives, ward leaders and stakeholders for their support and confidence.

He also acknowledged fellow aspirants who participated in the party’s primary election, describing the contest as a democratic process in which a candidate was expected to emerge.

According to him, the APC remains one united family and ongoing reconciliation efforts would ensure that all interests within the party are accommodated ahead of the elections.

Danladi assured party members and residents of Kwara State that he would justify the confidence reposed in him and prayed for a peaceful and successful electoral process.

Earlier, Fagbemi urged party members to exercise restraint in their use of social media and avoid comments capable of undermining reconciliation efforts within the party.

He stressed the need for discipline, unity and collective commitment as the APC intensifies preparations for the governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections.

The presentation of the INEC nomination form signals the party’s continued mobilisation efforts and commitment to consolidating internal cohesion ahead of the 2027 governorship contest in Kwara State.
