Kwara Gov Reshuffles Cabinet, Relieves Advisers, Key Aides
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, relieving all his advisers and several key aides of their appointments.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Governor's Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola.
According to the statement, the affected officials include all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants. The reshuffle also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
The statement explained that the decision was aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling party while injecting fresh energy into the administration.
"The decision, which is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration, also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor," the statement read.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the affected appointees for their contributions to the administration and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He also directed all those affected by the reshuffle to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
