Oyo Govt Demolishes Kidnappers’ Hideout in Ibadan

The Oyo State Government has commenced the demolition of a house allegedly used as a hideout by the kidnappers of the sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin children.

The demolition exercise began on Monday at the property located in Lakoun Estate along Olomi-Olojuoro Road in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The victims were abducted last Wednesday but were subsequently rescued by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Saturday.

Officials of the Oyo State Government reportedly deployed the necessary equipment to the site to carry out the demolition as part of efforts to dismantle facilities linked to criminal activities.

The exercise is being conducted by personnel of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, with security provided by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.

The demolition follows the successful rescue of the abducted victims and forms part of the state's ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other violent crimes.

Further details on the operation were still being awaited at the time of filing this report.
