Tinubu Committed to Rescue of Abducted Schoolchildren — Shettima
Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu remains committed to restoring peace and security across the country and securing the release of abducted schoolchildren in Oyo and Borno states.
Shettima gave the assurance after a special Jumaat prayer held to commemorate Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebrations, where he called on Nigerians to continue praying for the nation’s peace, stability and progress.
The Vice President said the Federal Government was working tirelessly to ensure the safe recovery of children currently being held by bandits and terrorist groups, stressing that President Tinubu remains focused on addressing the country’s security challenges.
According to him, national unity and collective support are essential to overcoming insecurity and sustaining democratic governance in the country.
Shettima urged Nigerians not to lose hope, expressing confidence that the nation would overcome its current security difficulties through sustained government efforts and public cooperation.
He also paid tribute to past leaders and democracy advocates whose sacrifices contributed to the growth and stability of Nigeria’s democratic system.
The Vice President reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening security, restoring peace and ensuring that citizens can live and carry out their daily activities without fear.
